Recently, "the 17th Academic Conference on Electrocardiology Physiology and Pacing of Sichuan Medical Association and 2024 West China Atrial Fibrillation Week Special Conference" hosted by Sichuan Medical Association, and organized by the Electrocardiology Physiology and Pacing Professional Committee of Sichuan Medical Association and West China Hospital of Sichuan University was held in Chengdu, Sichuan Province. This conference focused on the academic research hotspots of electrocardiology physiology and pacing, specially invited experts in the field of cardiovascular diseases from all over the country, and discussions and exchanges around multiple topics such as the latest clinical research progress and diagnosis and treatment norms of electrocardiology physiology and pacing, jointly seeking high-quality development achievements in this discipline.


Shanghai MicroPort EP MedTech Co., Ltd. Professor Jiang Jian from West China Hospital of Sichuan University and Professor Yin Yuehui from the Second Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University were specially invited to serve as the chairmen of the special session. Professor Yang Long from Guizhou Provincial People's Hospital, Professor Zeng Rui from West China Hospital of Sichuan University and Professor Deng Xiaojian from Deyang People's Hospital were specially invited to serve as the hosts of the special session. They discussed the clinical application experience of domestic pressure technology and cryo technology with many domestic electrophysiology experts.


Professor Jiang Jian from West China Hospital of Sichuan University, the chairman of the special session, emphasized the importance of electrocardiology physiology and pacing technology in clinical medicine in his speech and expressed the hope that through this conference, exchanges and cooperation among experts could be promoted to jointly promote innovation and development in this field.


Professor Fu Hua from West China Hospital of Sichuan University gave a report on the topic of "Tissue Temperature Measurement Pressure Technology and Clinical Application", elaborating in detail the advantages of this technology in improving the accuracy and safety of the procedures. Professor Fu Hua pointed out that the tissue temperature measurement pressure technology of the TrueForce™ Ablation Catheter has higher tissue temperature sensitivity and more accurate near-field signal recording ability. At the same time, combined with the advanced EI (Energy Index) function, it can process and display signals in real time and evalsuate the ablation effect in real time. These characteristics can help physicians make more intuitive and rapid judgments during the procedures, improving the success rate and safety of the procedures.


Professor Hu Hongde from West China Hospital of Sichuan University shared the topic of "Surface Temperature Measurement Cryo Technology and Clinical Application". He mentioned that an important breakthrough of the surface temperature measurement cryo technology lies in its ability to provide more accurate judgment of the occlusion effect. By arranging multiple temperature measurement points on the balloon surface of the IceMagic™ CryoAblation Catheter, the temperature changes of the tissue during the cryo process are monitored in real time, helping physicians to judge the occlusion effect more accurately and effectively avoiding the problem of excessive cryo that may occur in traditional cryo technology.


During the discussion session, the participating experts highly evalsuated the two new technologies of MicroPort EP. Professor Liu Hanxiong from the Third People's Hospital of Chengdu and Professor Ou Dengke from the Fifth People's Hospital of Chengdu respectively stated their experiences after using the TrueForce™ Ablation Catheter in clinical practice. Professor Liu Hanxiong said that the tissue temperature measurement pressure technology helps physicians obtain richer clinical information during the procedures, making the surgical process more safe and controllable. Professor Ou Dengke mentioned that domestic technologies have advanced rapidly in recent years, and the tissue temperature measurement technology of MicroPort EP has its unique features. Combined with the use of pressure technology, it is believed that it can exert its corresponding technical advantages in clinical applications in the future.


Professor Zhou Wei from the Affiliated Hospital of Guizhou Medical University and Professor Du Hua'an from the University Town Hospital Affiliated to Chongqing Medical University respectively shared their clinical experiences of using the IceMagic™ CryoAblation Catheter. Professor Zhou Wei believes that cryoablation technology has obvious advantages in treating elderly patients and patients with poor cardiac function, and can reduce postoperative complications at the same time. Professor Du Hua'an pointed out that the surface temperature measurement cryo technology can provide a more intuitive judgment of the occlusion effect, reducing the uncertainty during the procedures.


At the end of the conference, Professor Yin Yuehui from the Second Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University and Professor Deng Xiaojian from Deyang People's Hospital summarized. They said that the tissue temperature measurement pressure technology and the surface temperature measurement cryo technology, with their characteristics of high precision, high sensitivity and intelligence, provide more comprehensive and accurate surgical information for clinicians, further improving the safety and success rate of the procedures. It is expected that with the promotion and application of these new technologies in clinical practice, more choices will be brought to physicians and patients.
