Shanghai, China – On March 8, Shanghai MicroPort EP MedTech Co., Ltd. (“MicroPort EP”) obtained the registration certificate of China Food and Drug Administration (“NMPA”) for its in-house developed PathBuilder™ Steerable introducer.
PathBuilder™ is comprised of introducer, a dilator and guide wire.
The PathBuilder™ Steerable introducer is a specialized device to indicate for the RF ablation of cardiac arrhythmias, to be used enter the femoral vein and establish a vascular access, and guide the diagnostic catheter or ablation catheter to each cardiac chambers, including the left atrium through the atrial septal puncture.
The NMPA approval marked the official launch of MicroPort EP’s moving towards the field of complex arrhythmias to provide better guiding introducer options, and signifies another solid step of MicroPort EP in becoming the provider of “a complete solution platform combining active and nonactive, device and equipment.”
